Turning Point

I drove home from work tonight. It was 5:45, and as I squinted against the sun for the duration of the drive I felt great, just leaving work in the bright daylight. Then an exciting realization hit me - the new season is here.

The days are sufficiently long now, post-work jaunts are a brief reality, and with the upcoming time change they'll grow another hour. The spring classics have started, and I don't even mind the computrainer sessions now that the return to outdoor weeknight rides are seeming tangibly close. Add to this the weekend forecast showing the first signs of spring weather, and there is every reason to start getting excited!
