Christmas Tree Hunting

Today we cut down our first ever Christmas tree. It’s actually way easier and fun-er than it should be… for the cost of a $5 permit, you’re off Christmas Tree Hunting.

 

There was lots to choose from out Hwy 68, but the trick was finding one small enough to cut & fit, without looking too Charlie Brown.

After some wandering we finally decided on one, and Ashley was the first to demonstrate her fervent woodsmanship.

I took over, and in no time the tree was ours.

 

It seemed all too easy and enjoyable, so we decided to buy a tree-stand and lights at Wal-mart, just to kill the buzz a little.

Now after a busy week, it feels a little more festive.
