Its 11:15am, and I am officially in sensory overload. Second race of the day, and Marriane Vos has a dominant 30 second lead after one lap on the women's field. We already witnessed one dutch junior destroy his peers.
The crowd is amazing - so much excitement and enthusiasm, I feel like I'm inflicted by a cycling fan version of ADD... Do I run to watch the pros over here, or over there? None of this is helped by the 3 bagette slices, Clif Bar, bourbon and beer that has comprised my breakfast.
Canadian women started strong and are placed competitively, close to each other. Mical Dyck (pictured) had a great start but fell back.

I'm impressed by the placings of our western canada cohorts. It's exciting to see everyone do so well in their personal achievements.
