This morning the trail lived up to it's reputation - relentless climbing and descending along the cliffs of the atlantic - with spectacular ocean views at every turn.
Starting from Cheticamp (BB blogging is limited in scope so I suggest using google maps) we headed north and were soon ascending French Mountain, from sea level to 455m in about 5km of switch-backed goodness. Despite the hype, Claire made it to the top with no problem at all. From there is ~20km of rolling highlands road with frequent viewpoint stops along the way (photo)
