BC Bike Race: T -3 days!

Not much action here since May 31 (lots of action in racing and general life, but I am still getting over my natural resistance to wasting other peoples time with it). So i am going to get this blog-net thing going with some live action tales of a mountain bike racing extravaganzaza...

I am going to try to use amazing technological developments in email and the internets to keep the beef hot with live race updates.

Furthermore, BCBR wil be the world-wide grand debut of Totally Intuitive Training Systems in it's stage-racing form. (if you have to ask, just stay tuned for further posts)

Racing for 7 days on any bike is no easy feat, and must be taken seriously. So, Craig (Endurance racing veteran and my partner for the race) have drafted a carefully measured profile to describe our team and our intents:

Craig Stappler is to MTB Endurance Racing what Camaro’s are to Mullets - Rarely has one been sighted without the other close by. In a cruel twist of ironic fate, Craig found salvation in mountain bike racing following a horrific drag racing accident rendered him unable to shotgun a pilsner. Since that fateful day Craig has mastered TransRockies and La Ruta on numerous occasions and is returning to BCBR for the second time to give’er.

Shawn Bunnin moonlights as the enigmatic front-man of the Bold Italics, emerging Indy-Rock sensations. Like all musical geniuses, Shawn is notoriously high maintenance and not known for racing his bike more than two hours at a time without a hissy fit. BCBR will be his first performance away from the comfort of the feed zone and crowds of fanatic teenage girls. Shawn is founder of the Totally Intuitive Training System, a result of years of elite racing experience.

Support is crucial for Totally Intuitive Training Systems, and Craig and Shawn look forward to putting their pair to the test.
